The Highline United Methodist Church’s Severe Weather Overnight Shelter will be open from December 26-31, 2021 at 7 p.m. in response to the winter weather. The shelter is located at 13015 1st Ave S in Burien at the Highline United Methodist Church. The shelter is operated by the Highline United Methodist Church, with support from the City of Burien and King County. Limited dinner and breakfast will be provided. Pets are allowed.

They are seeking donations and volunteers.

The Burien Community Center will operated as a daytime warming center the following dates and hours:

  • December 26, 2021, 10:30 a.m. - 2:30 p.m.
  • December 27-30, 2021, 10:30 a.m. - 7 p.m.
  • December 31, 2021, 10:30 a.m. - 5 p.m.
  • January 1, 2021, 10:30 a.m. - 2:30 p.m.

Hot drinks and snacks will be provided. Pets are not allowed. Hours are subject to change.
