  • If Highline School District has a delayed start, all PaRCS classes before 10 a.m. will be canceled. 

  • If Highline School District has closed school for the day, all PaRCS classes will also be canceled for the day.

About the PaRCS Department

The mission of the Parks, Recreation and Cultural Services (PaRCS) department is to enrich and inspire the Burien community through high-quality experiences, people, and places. Our department promotes a healthy, livable community with opportunities for physical activity as well as personal and cultural enrichment.

PaRCS Customer Service Hours (phone/email)

Monday – Thursday, 9 a.m. – 7 p.m. Friday, 9 a.m. – 5 p.m.

Burien Community Center Hours

Monday – Thursday, 9 a.m. – 7 p.m.
Friday, 9 a.m. – 5 p.m.
Building closed 2 – 3 p.m., but staff available by phone.

Instructors wanted—connect with passion, build a community!

Have a passion to share? Burien PaRCS hires contracted instructors to provide fitness, health and wellness, art, ceramics, dance and enrichment classes for a growing community. If you are interested in hearing more about how to become an instructor and/or have a program that you would like to offer in Burien, complete the Program Proposal Form and email it to [email protected].
