Burien Community Center and Burien City Hall Open Rooms for Cooling During Peak Heat Hours

With high temperatures expected to soar past 100 degrees today, the City of Burien is opening the Burien Community Center and Burien City Hall to operate as cooling centers. Find bus routes to Burien city facilities on King County Metro website. Buses are air conditioned.
Burien Community Center
When: Monday, June 28, 1–6 p.m.
Where: Burien Community Center, 14700 6th Ave SW, Burien
There is space for 37 people. While not fully air conditioned, the Burien Community Center will be cooler than outside.
Burien City Hall
When: Monday, June 28, 1–7 p.m.
Where: Burien City Hall, 14700 6th Ave SW, Burien
There is space for 20 people.
Burien Police Department
When: Monday, June 28, 12:30–4:30 p.m.
Where: Burien Police Department, 14905 6th Ave SW, Burien
There is space for 35 people.
