The City of Burien will be closing all public facilities and services on the following dates:
- Friday, May 22, 2020
- Friday, September 4, 2020
- Wednesday, November 25, 2020
- Wednesday, December 23, 2020
All City staff will be furloughed during these four days. The City of Burien projects up to 16 percent less revenue in 2020 due to the economic impacts of the COVID-19 pandemic. The City is examining multiple ways to reduce expenses while still maintaining essential services. Staff furloughs, delayed projects, and other reduced spending is being implemented.
