Earlier this summer, the City of Burien discovered that the Town Square Fountain had sustained substantial water damage in the control vault and fountain’s electrical system. As repair work progresses, unforeseen issues have occurred. At this time, the City cannot commit to an open date.
We know the fountain is beloved by the community, especially when the temperature rises. To help Burien’s youngest residents have fun and cool off on our summer’s hottest days, the Parks, Recreation and Cultural Services department will turn on the sprinklers in Lake Burien Memorial Park.
Sprinkler Schedule
When the temperature reaches above 75 degrees, park sprinklers will be turned on in a section of Lake Burien Memorial Park from 2–4 p.m., Mondays and Fridays.
