City of Burien Hosts Town Hall for Youth Engagement and Community Safety

NEWS RELEASE

Burien, WA, April 4, 2018—The City of Burien is inviting the community to a town hall discussion on how to engage youth and enhance community safety. In the wake of the tragic death of two teens last week, the City is convening a conversation about how to prevent future violence in our community.

When: April 9, 7–9 p.m.
Where: Burien Library, first floor Multipurpose Room, 400 SW 152nd St, Burien, WA 98166

The following public officials and staff will be present:

  • Burien City Councilmembers
  • Interim Burien Police Chief Marcus Williams
  • City Manager Brian J. Wilson
  • City staff from multiple departments, including Human Services, Parks, Recreation and Cultural Services, and Communications departments.

Light refreshments and interpretation for Spanish and Vietnamese will be provided.
