Learn about Proposed City Budget

Community Invited to Weigh in on 2019-2020 Proposed City Budget
Posted on 09/05/2018

City staff will be presenting a budget proposal to City Council this fall for the 2019-2020 biennium. The proposal was developed by using information gathered through the City’s community survey, data collected throughout the year on service calls, and staff assessment on functions and services that meet community needs.,

Key themes in the proposed 2019–2020 budget:

  • Maintaining the City’s sound financial health
  • Addressing the structural imbalance and partial expiration of the annexation sales tax credit in 2020
  • Continuing to provide important City programs and services

Give Feedback on 2019-2020 Proposed City Budget

The community is invited to learn about the budget and tell us what programs and services matter most to you. Attend a community meeting (see budget calendar below) where you can get a quick course in how a city budget is prepared and then provide your feedback during an interactive activity on what matters most to you.

You can also attend a Council meeting to make public comment on specific portions of the City budget during the public hearing process. See below for details about both community and Council meetings.

The proposed budget will be published on the City’s Budget page immediately before the first budget hearing.
