Seahurst Park Picnic Shelters

The jewel of Burien's park system, Seahurst Park offers a saltwater beach on Puget Sound, views to the Olympic Mountains, reservable picnic shelters and tables, two playground areas, and several trails. It is a favorite for area photographers and families. The parking lot has 184 parking stalls and an additional 5 accessible parking stalls in the Lower Parking Lot.

Sea Star Shelter

Located on the southernmost point on beach and closest to lower parking lot and most seclusion from main park area.

Located in middle area of the beach and closest to shoreline, restrooms, and children’s play structure.

Nori Shelter

Located on northernmost point on the beach and greater seclusion from main park area. There is a .25 mile walk to access this shelter.

Rules

  • No vehicle access beyond marked parking areas, including catering vehicles.
  • Supplies must be carried to shelters. Site must be cleaned and cleared a minimum of 30 minutes before park closes.
  • Posters and signs can’t be placed inside park unless given special permission.
  • Only 10 x 10 feet or smaller tent or canopy can be set-up unless stated on permit.
  • Consumption or possession of alcohol is prohibited.
  • Parks and shelters are a Tobacco Free Zone.
  • No balloons.
  • No amplified sound allowed unless given special permission.
