Purpose
The City of Burien is currently soliciting proposals for a web-based Recreation Management Software to support the processes managed by the Parks, Recreation & Cultural Services Department (PaRCS Department). Processes include but are not limited to the daily management of administrative tasks such as activity/program registrations; facility reservations and scheduling; memberships; point-of-sale; payment processing; 24/7 support and customized reporting. The purpose of this proposal is to obtain competitive pricing for a comprehensive, hosted, or hybrid-hosted solution that can meet the current requirements of the City of Burien PaRCS Department and is capable of expansion to meet future needs.
Background
The City of Burien seeks to implement a solution that will enable the PaRCS Department’s employees to serve participants with greater efficiency while in the office or out in the field, enhance marketing, improve internal operations, and augment the public interface. The solution shall provide for uncomplicated management, allow for future growth, and deploy easily to functional areas of parks and recreation. The department is committed to taking significant steps to automate as many processes as possible and is interested in functionality that enables the customer to access and process basic/common parks and recreation services via the internet.
