Project Overview
The project provides for mitigation of an erosional gully as a result of failed stormwater conveyance originating in the Cove Point residential development and discharges in downward gradient toward the north end of Seahurst Park in Burien, WA. This work planned includes: grubbing, clearing, felling specific trees, excavating loose materials along the bottom and the lower slopes of the gully, placing a geotextile fabric and then placing a quarry spall blanket over the geotextile fabric; hand grading a section of drainage channel and backfilling with stream cobbles over geotextile fabric; hauling excavated material off-site; immediate work area restoration; and other items necessary to complete the work.

Impact on Seahurst Park Use
This project will have minimal impact on park use. The contractor will use the maintenance road for access and will use construction work zone and safety signs/flaggers where required. This road crosses hiking trails in the park, so hikers should be aware of construction vehicles when crossing the road. Park partner organizations and maintenance workers will still have access to this road.
