Updated August 9, 2021

To help local businesses and nonprofits impacted by the COVID-19 outbreak and social distancing orders, the City of Burien is providing assistance and locating other useful resources. Of note:

  • Resources for businesses: Find information for small businesses and nonprofits on the Resources for Businesses page.
  • Grants and loans: State and federal loans and grants from large companies are available for some small businesses and nonprofit organizations. See Grants and Loans tab below for details.
  • Increased human services funding: The city has set aside $200,000 in emergency support funds to meet the needs of our most vulnerable residents. Rent and utility assistance for Burien residents was also announced.
