Art

The City of Burien hosts cultural arts programs at the Burien Community Center, the Moshier Community Art Center, and throughout the city. In addition, the Burien community is home to many nonprofit arts and culture organizations, including two symphonies, a choral group, theater groups, a heritage museum, dance groups, arts organizations, and the 800-seat Highline Performing Arts Center. Burien also boasts a number of public art pieces throughout the city. Use the online map below and signage to learn more about Burien’s public art.

Moshier Community Art Center

Moshier Art Center is one of Puget Sound's hidden gems. Students from beginner to advanced skill levels can participate in programs in a fully-equipped ceramics studio setting. Each quarter, we offer programs for all ages, including classes and workshops in ceramics, painting, drawing, mosaics, sculpture, and much more. 24-hour access studio spaces for artists and classes for adults and teens with special needs are also available.
