The City of Burien is proud to announce a return of the “It’s a Wonderful Burien” event series. This winter holiday tradition invites community members to support Burien businesses, nonprofits, and arts organizations for a fun and memorable holiday experience!
Winter lights will illuminate Town Square Park every night in December, inspiring people to come to downtown Burien for unique dining, shopping, and seasonal experiences hosted by the City of Burien and community partners.

Winter Lights
December 1–31, 4 p.m. Town Square Park
The City of Burien will illuminate Burien’s Town Square with winter sparkling and colorful lights every night in November and December.
Thursdays, 10 a.m.–4 p.m., Town Square Park
This year-round market coordinated by Discover Burien is the perfect place to get your grocery shopping done and pick up unique, artisanal holiday gifts while supporting small businesses and independent artists.
Saturday, November 19, noon–5 p.m., Casa Italiana, 13028 1st Ave S.
There will be traditional Pizzica dancing, food and beverage for sale, and a wonderful chestnut roast. Come early from 11 a.m. – noon for Pizzica dance lessons!

Santa is coming to town! Get your free Santa photos and shop at the pop-up market.
Saturday, November 26, 10 a.m. – 7 p.m., Town Square Park
Enjoy a fun filled day of activities organized by Discover Burien! Secure your tickets for a Mimosa Walk from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. throughout Downtown Burien. Pick-up a Shop Local Bingo Card and fill out as you shop. End the day in Town Square Park watching a FREE movie, The Grinch. There will also be a Blanket / Coat Drive. Support Burien shops by playing Shop Local Bingo!

Aya Yoga Oasis hosts the second annual curated Art Market that brings together artists, craftspeople, and people who are passionate about supporting artisans and small businesses. Peruse the amazing selection of gifts and treasures created by local artists and makers. It's a great opportunity to get a jump start on holiday shopping on Small Business Saturday!

We have partnered with #ArtistsSunday, a national movement to encourage consumers to #ShopArt the Sunday after Thanksgiving and give artist-created gifts this holiday season. It’s like Black Friday or Small Business Saturday but for art. Support participating Burien artists by shopping with them on the directory link.

Start at the Discover Burien office (611 SW 152 St) to get your map and a reusable bag to fill with cookies from local businesses. This is a fun event for the entire family to visit new businesses in the neighborhood and revisit longstanding ones. Tickets are on sale now and this event always sells out!

Find hundreds of items such as mugs, bowls, serving dishes, casseroles, garden art, jewelry, planters, and more at the annual Moshier Holiday Pottery Sale.

Join Alimentando al Pueblo in celebrating a holiday season cultural tradition, La Posada. There will be live music, games, food, and community. Registration is required.
