2021 Request for Proposals - Microenterprise Assistance

The City of Burien seeks nonprofit organizations to provide microenterprise assistance to Burien’s small businesses and entrepreneurs. The City has $45,000 in Federal Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) funds for business development and/or training of low- and moderate-income business owners/entrepreneurs. Funds must exclusively be used to serve Burien residents and/or Burien business owners. Federal regulations define persons who are low- and moderate-income as persons earning under 80% of median income, as determined by the Department of Housing and Urban Development, adjusted by household size. The City anticipates awarding funding to one agency. The deadline to apply is 5 p.m. Friday, August 13, 2021. If you have any questions, please contact economicdevelopment@burienwa.gov
