BCC Restroom Improvements


The City of Burien seeks a contractor to provide all management, coordination, labor, materials, equipment and permitting, necessary to complete the project described in this bid package for the modifications and construction of a new single use ADA restroom at the Burien Community Center. The work shall include but is not limited to selective demolition, modifications of existing restroom(s), building systems, including upgrades to two existing restrooms, adjoining hallway, roofing, utilities, life safety, finishes and necessary equipment and utilities, as detailed in bid package.  

Bid Award

  • July 14, 2021 a Notice of Award and contract were provided to Reynolds General Contracting, Inc. of Redmond, WA.

Bid Results June 9, 2021, 11 a.m.

  • Bids were received. The Apparent Low Bid: Reynolds General Contracting, Inc. with a bid of $289,000.00

  • Site Walk: Due to COVID-19, the building has very limited hours of operation. As a result, site walks must be scheduled with the project manager by emailing parksprojects@burienwa.gov to reserve your preference (mark subject line as “Site Walk Request”). Below are the following Site Walk date options; limit (2) two individuals per firm:
    1. Wednesday, May 19, 2021 at 9:00 a.m.
    2. Wednesday, May 26, 2021 at 9:00 a.m.

  • City of Burien will review all written inquiries for an explanation or interpretation of the Bid Documents.

This is a prevailing wage project per RCW 39.12 and the Davis Bacon Act per 40 U.S.C. §§ 3141 et seq.

The City of Burien is a Community Development Block Grant Entitlement Community. The Burien Community Center Restroom Modifications is funded by the City of Burien and in part through the King County Consortium Community Development Block Grant Program with funds obtained from the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development.  The contract will be subject to regulations of the Department of Labor and Housing and Urban Development.  Attention is called to Federal provisions for Equal Employment Opportunity, HUD Section 3 requirements, and the minimum wage as set forth in the contract documents.  

All bidders must certify that they are not on the Controller General’s list of ineligible contractors or the list of parties excluded from Federal procurement or non-procurement programs.
