COVID-19 Emergency Rent and Utility Assistance

The City of Burien’s emergency rent and utility assistance fund is for Burien residents experiencing financial impacts from the COVID-19 pandemic. Catholic Community Services and Multi-Service Center are administering the Burien fund. Burien community members also have access to King County’s rent assistance funding.

Apply now! People are encouraged to apply now and not wait for the eviction moratorium to end.

To apply for the Burien rent and utility assistance fund, contact the following organizations:

  • Catholic Community Services: Call the CCS Intake Line (253) 850-2523, Monday – Friday, 8:30 a.m.–4:30 p.m.
  • Multi-Service Center: Visit the Multi-Service Center website to fill out the application. You will receive a follow up telephone call after submitting your application.

Need language help?

Both Catholic Community Services and Multi-Service Center offer applications in multiple languages. They also can provide telephone assistance in the preferred language.

  • Catholic Community Services: Call the CCS Intake Line and tell them you need assistance in another language besides English.
  • Multi-Service Center: On the application, fill out the Interpreter Required and Language Preference questions.
