Staff directors and managers presented summaries of the current workload within their departments, including special projects and work that is mandated by law. They also identified areas where they were struggling to meet demand. Burien City Council will weigh current staff workload and feedback from the Council priorities survey during the next session of their retreat on March 29, 2021. They will then develop priorities for the next 12–18 months during the next retreat session.
