Burien Community Center, formerly Chelsea Park Elementary School, built in the late 1940s to help absorb the Highline School District's "explosive growth." Today it houses the Burien Parks Department headquarters, Burien Little Theater and other programs. September, 2007.

Mike & Jane Kelly

Mike and Jane Kelly, Burien pioneers and Sunnydale’s first residents. The "Kelly Road" eventually became Des Moines Memorial Drive.

Tree Planting Dignitaries

Herman Peters Home

Herman Peters family home, 8th South and 148th South, a Sunnydale landmark destroyed by vandals in 1968. Hilda Peters Carver, who lived in the area all her life, is seated in a plaid dress in the center.
