Welcome to the Burien park history web pages.

These pages will enable you to learn more about the histories of Burien's parks. Their stories are very much the story of Burien, a community shaped by loggers, homesteaders, and even a railroad known as the "Toonerville Trolley".

The City of Burien manages numerous park properties in addition to the Burien Community Center, Skate Park and the Moshier Community Art Center. The City maintains over 300 acres of parks and open space on behalf of its citizens. If you have questions about any of the city's parks, contact us at 206-988-3700.
