Completed
The

inventory
of its
shorelines,
which is
one of
the
tasks in
updating
its
Shoreline
Master
Program.
The
inventory
compiles
a
significant
amount
of data
Burien’s
Shoreline
Advisory
Committee
will use
during
the
Shoreline
Master
Program
update
process. See

Volunteer
to Help
Educate
Park
Visitors
on Beach
Ecology
and
Etiquette
Sign up to be a volunteer beach naturalist this
summer. After training, naturalists will spend
three weekend days educating visitors about
beach ecology and beach etiquette at Seahurst
Park and other parks in the Seattle area.

residents. The first was about

Park, Miller Park on Burien TV
Seahurst Park, Burien's hidden treasure, is the
subject of a new video that profiles recent
efforts to restore its natural and quiet beauty.
A video on Miller Creek also is being broadcast
on Burien TV (Channel 21). The videos will run
on Thursday evenings, with Miller Creek at 8

Dog
Owners Are Reminded of Burien's Leash Law
Pet
owners are reminded that the entire city is a
"dog control zone" and it is unlawful for owner
to allow their dogs to wander free and without
restraint within the zone. Owners in violation
can be fined up to $250 and/or be sentenced to
up to 90 days in jail.

Burien residents who are Seattle City Light
customers may be eligible for 50% utility
