The City of Burien requires pet owners to purchase a license annually* for all dogs and cats 6 months of age or older. The license period runs from July 1 through June 30. The fees are payable to the City of Burien:
$20 for altered pets ($10 after December 31st) "Proof Required"
$50 for unaltered pets. ($25 after December 31st)
$15 for residents 65 years and older (one-time fee for tag)
$5.00 lost tag replacement fee
*SPECIAL NOTE: Residents 65 years of age and older may obtain a special permanent license for the lifetime of their altered pet for a one time charge of $15. Proof of spay/neuter must be submitted.
Licenses are valid from July 1 until June 30. PLEASE NOTE - Burien issues one permanent tag per pet, which (if not in arrears) is good for the life of the pet it was issued to.

8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. Monday - Friday
