RESOLUTION NO. 226

 

A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF BURIEN, WASHINGTON, ADOPTING A MODIFIED

BENEFIT PLAN FOR ALL CITY EMPLOYEES

 

            WHEREAS, The City of Burien wishes to establish a modified benefit package for all City employees, and

 

            WHEREAS, The City of Burien repealed Section 2 of Ordinance No. 2 that established the current benefit plan for all City employees.

 

            NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BURIEN, WASHINGTON, DOES RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS:

 

            Section 1.  Benefit Plan.  The City's benefit package for employees of the City shall be the Association of Washington Cities’ Regence Preferred Provider Plan; the Group Health Cooperative – Co-pay Plan 1 (For both medical plans there is a 10% co-pay for dependents); Washington Dental Service – Plan E; and Vision Service Plan – full Family - $10 deductible w/ second pair option.  The Benefit Plan will be effective January 1, 2006.

 

Section 2.  Effective Date. This resolution shall take effect upon passage by the Burien City Council.

 

            ADOPTED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BURIEN, WASHINGTON, AT A REGULAR MEETING THEREOF THIS 21ST DAY OF NOVEMBER, 2005.
