RESOLUTION NO. 180

a Resolution of the city of burien, washington, Scheduling A Public Hearing TO TAKE PLACE ON June 16^th, 2003 for the Purpose of Receiving Testimony on the Proposed Vacation of Unopened Right-of-Way Located Adjacent to 13401 12th Ave. So, Burien

            WHEREAS, the City of Burien has received a petition for the vacation of unopened right-of-way located adjacent to 13401 12^th Ave. So., in Burien; and

            WHEREAS, RCW 35.79.010 requires the City  to pass a resolution fixing a time for a public hearing before the City Council on the petition which public hearing shall take place no sooner than twenty days after passage of the resolution and no more than sixty days after passage of the resolution; and

            WHEREAS, the City Council desires to schedule a public hearing for June 16^th, 2003 on the petition to vacation unopened right-of-way located adjacent to 13401 12^th Avenue So.;

            NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BURIEN, WASHINGTON, DOES RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS:

Section 1.  Date of Public Hearing.  The City Council of the City of Burien hereby directs the City Clerk to schedule a public hearing for June 16^th, 2003 to commence at 7:00 p.m. or as soon thereafter as practicable for the purpose of receiving testimony on the petition to vacate unopened right-of-way located adjacent to 13401 12^th Ave. South.   The City Clerk is directed to provide notice of the public hearing consistent with the provisions contained in RCW 35.79.020.

Section 2.  Effective Date. This resolution shall take effect immediately upon passage by the Burien City Council.

ADOPTED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BURIEN, WASHINGTON, AT A REGULAR MEETING THEREOF THIS 19^th DAY OF MAY, 2003.
