On May 19, 2008, the City Council passed Resolution 278 calling for annexation by election of a portion of the North Highline unincorporated area.  The area proposed for annexation is "Option 4" and is shown to the right as Exhibit A to Resolution 278.

The next step in the annexation process is submittal of the proposed annexation to the King County Boundary Review Board.  Voters within the proposed annexation area will have an opportunity to vote on the annexation, most likely in early 2009.  If approved, the actual annexation would occur shortly thereafter.
