The City Clerk's office prepares the minutes and agendas for City Council meetings. Agendas are available on Friday afternoon after 3 p.m. for the Monday meeting and are posted online.†† Minutes are available upon approval by the Council approximately two weeks following the meeting. To request paper copies of agendas and minutes, please email monical@ci.burien.wa.us or call us at 206-241-4647. Agendas and minutes are also posted to the web site.

The City Clerk's office processes public records requests (Online form or PDF form), provides notary services and issues pet licenses, rental housing licenses, and business licenses. Please call 206-988-3714 for a business license application, or access it here, and 206-248-5512 for a rental housing license application. Businesses located outside Burien but doing business in Burien, need to fill out a different application.† Fees and requirements for these licenses vary. Clicking on the particular license will access application forms and information.

Voter registration forms are available at City Hall, most libraries, schools, and fire stations. Citizens can fill out the forms at home and mail them to the address shown on the back of each form. You must register 30+ days prior to an election in order to vote in that election if registering by mail. Allow 6-8 weeks to receive your voter registration card.
