Discover Burien Association, is a non-profit team comprised of merchants, property owners, hospital administrators, school board members, and art groups, as well as the City of Burien, Port of Seattle and the Chamber of Commerce. SCORE (Service Corps of Retired Executives) specializing in helping start-up businesses is a resource partner of the U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA). The SCORE program matches a small business that seeks help to an experienced and trained volunteer at no charge. These volunteer men and women have collective experience spanning the full range of American enterprise. Export Mentor Program - The Export Mentor Program is designed to nurture the exporting capabilities of small and medium-sized companies located in southwest King County. Over the course of a year, exporting-experienced companies offer guidance and support to companies new to exporting.
Companies will work with mentors in the development and implementation of an Export Plan, gaining increased knowledge and receiving key advice about the exporting process. SeaTac Occupational Skills Center - SeaTac is one of ten multi-school district Skills Centers in the State of Washington. Designed to provide state-of-the-art workforce preparation programs for high school juniors and seniors, the SeaTac Occupational Skills Center is owned cooperatively by the Federal Way, Highline, Tahoma, and Tukwila School
