Safe Parks in Burien

Burien is aware of community concerns regarding groups of apparently homeless adults and youth in local parks, and the City is taking actions to better ensure safe use for all. Anyone who sees or suspects illegal behavior should call 911.

Classes Offered on Emergency Preparedness

The fall session of CERT (Community Emergency Response Team) training begins Sept. 11. Emergency professionals train residents, organizations or workplaces in basic emergency preparation and response skills. Classes are held Thursdays, 6-9 pm, in SeaTac.

Seahurst Park to Reopen August 25

The City plans to reopen Seahurst Park to the public at 8 am, Monday, August 25, as the contractor winds up work on the Shoreline Restoration Project. A formal ribbon-cutting ceremony is being planned for later. Thanks to everyone for your patience.
